Musings on the quantum
More people are coming to the land today. I’m bracing for my spaciousness to close. I could be in a room full of people who are all dead quiet, and it would still be so loud. I’m sensitive to energy. I don’t need to hear or see you to feel you.
I spent a lot of yesterday still nursing some pain. I spent even more of it looking at baby and parenting videos online. This is what the algorithm is sending me now. Some parenting content creators are incredibly hilarious. They’re truly propaganda for family making, and the government should pay them.
Shooting stars
I surprisingly did a lot more than I realized, too. I came up with some ideas for business thangs (say it with a twang) and did some research. I sketched in a way I’ve been conceptualizing but hadn’t done yet. I finished a necklace and some bracelets as gifts, and I did a photoshoot with myself. I give myself very little structure, but I just let my energy flow to where it wants, and we get stuff done.

I’m sipping my coffee now. Sort of rattling my body for what’s alive. I slept in much later here than I have before. The heat wakes me up by like 8 AM. You can’t sleep in much longer than that (and I am the queen of sleeping in).
I stayed up staring at the stars from the RV bed window. It’s so nice to lie in bed and stare up at the cosmos. I keep trying to get a good picture of it for you guys, but I can’t do it justice. I need a different lens and a couple hours of exposure.
When I was looking up, nothing much was going on. You can see satellites passing, some planes flashing, but that’s really all. So, I said to myself, let me see a shooting star. I said it again. Then I said it out loud: “Let me see a shooting star, please”. Nothing. I said it again and then again, and by the next time, I kid you not, a shooting star passed.
I burst out laughing. How beautiful and giving you are, God. What a good time we’re having!
There have been some videos circulating online of women standing next to trees and saying out loud, 'Can you come closer to the sound of my voice and touch my shoulder?' Only after a minute or so, the branches do. This is the stuff of miracles. Of where the veil is thin and where the quantum domain shows us how it merges with the physical.
The quantum domain is also something Deepak Chopra discusses (I’m on a Deepak kick), but most exoteric spirituality I've encountered has some understanding of the quantum and the cosmos as foundational to understanding the self and consciousness.
Connection between quantum and consciousness
So, let’s go into this today 😁.
Deepak Chopra, and a bunch of other people in mainstream consciousness work (Joe Dispenza as another name you might know) talk about this thing called the quantum domain—and yeah, at first it sounds like something you’d hear about from some guy in a tie dye shirt whos got his ‘mala’ beads on and some sort of sacred geometry tattoo. But stick with me, because it actually touches on something real.

The quantum domain is the level of reality that lives beneath the one we normally move through (like the code running behind the software). Like, under the atoms that make up your body, your coffee cup, or your baby videos that are probably scaring your new boyfriend. We’re talking subatomic particles, the tiniest bits of existence. And in that domain, nothing behaves the way we expect it to. Particles blink in and out of existence, they can be in two places at once, and they don’t even take on a solid form until something observes them. Those are fundamentals of quantum mechanics.
For context, some people discredit the connection between quantum mechanics and consciousness, saying it isn’t worthy of being made. But all of this is always: come with an open mind, and if you’re gonna be here, uncross your arms. No one’s forcing you to believe anything. You see and reason for yourself. You take what works and leave what doesn’t.
This is where the link to consciousness comes in. Some interpretations of quantum physics suggest that it’s the act of observation that causes reality to “collapse” into form. Like, stuff doesn’t become real until something conscious interacts with it.
Now, to most scientists, that doesn’t necessarily mean your consciousness or my inner world is literally creating the physical world, but it does crack open the door. It suggests that mind and matter aren’t as separate as we thought. That maybe consciousness isn’t just something that shows up after the universe forms. Instead, it might be baked in it from the beginning.
Deepak’s take is this: the quantum domain is the field of pure potential, and our consciousness is how we interact with it. The more aware we are, the more we can co-create.
He’s saying that you don’t just observe reality, you participate in weaving it.

Deepak wrote about this YEARS ago and still continues to talk about it. The biggest takeaway (that I continue to see him talk about) is ultimately that you’re not separate from the universe; you’re part of its heartbeat. All the religions and spirituality I’ve ever encountered say this. The world I want to live in is this. And, my experience of the world has been this. I know deeply, I’m a co-creator here. What I want can manifest when I’m intentional about the flow of my energy. I’m doing it now. I’m living that today.
And, next time, when I look at a night sky, I’ll be sure to ask again for a shooting star.
And, who knows, maybe you’ll even try it too.
Best,
Valerie
