This post is open for all to read. But, writing is my creative expression and I would so love your support. If you got something out of this, drop me a note or consider upgrading (basically, buying me lunch). This is the best way you can support my endeavours, and I greatly appreciate it!I awoke and couldn’t get up. This is the time when I have my best lucid dreams. When I’m in the in-between space between the dream world and the real world. I just like being in bed, so that helps too.
Dream world
I saw a boy in this dream. I knew him. Of asian descent and skinnier than me. Taller. Kind. Happy. He loved me, or wanted to love me. We were hiding in the laundry room, Grandma rushing around the house with her voice high, asking things of us.
Grandma was calling for me, so clearly at one point I really, actually called back. Just to make sure she hadn’t walked in, like I had dreamed her doing.
The boy and I were ruffling in the laundry for shirts or something. We may not have been clothed, but we weren’t doing anything scandalous.
Grandma finds us in the laundry. I don’t remember what he did, but he said something to her lovingly, like Oh, Grandma. I can just remember how he felt. Like I was his and he was mine. And we were all happily bumbling.
And I have a hunny in this world, so who is this?
Maybe a long-lost cousin? He feels like someone I know.
I don’t see my hunny in my dreams often. Of course I want to, but he doesn’t dream much himself. It’s a thing I’m working on.
Our dreams are our connection to the spirit realm. It’s where Great Spirit can give us messages, show us things, and where we can connect with our guides, and even each other. Dreaming is as essential as breathing for spiritual life.
But then it hits me.
Maybe dream space also taps into alternate realities.
Why not? An alternative timeline where Grandma is still home and rushing. A boy still loves me, but a different one.
The many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics supports this.
And I’m reminded that we’re in divine right timing. At least that’s what I want to take from it.
Conciousness
And it’s not that out there of a thought. Some speculative thinkers propose that dreaming could weaken the brain’s filtering of reality, allowing glimpses of these alternate branches.
We know that gamma waves act as a sort of filter on reality. Gamma activity helps bind selected signals into a coherent conscious experience.
During psychedelic experiences, there is the Entropic Brain Hypothesis.
So under psychedelics: large brain networks lose their usual hierarchy, regions communicate more freely, and signal diversity increases
This produces novel associations, unusual perceptions, and measured ego dissolution.
Gamma activity becomes less tightly organized than in normal waking consciousness.
When the woo woo becomes real
What’s wild to me today is all the things I wanted to believe when I was younger, but were trained out of by that science mind, are actually coming to fruition.
All the most expansive things we can know and understand are largely real. And, we’re getting more and more confirmation of this every day:
UFOs. For decades, these discussions were fringe; now we keep having Congressional Hearings on them.
The gut microbiome impact on the brain: For most of the 20th century, the bacteria in our gut were thought to be mostly irrelevant; now it is a major research field.
Meditation: Even in the last 100 years, it was understood as some weird, mystical thing. Now we know how impactful meditation is for the brain and body, literally rewiring them.
And we still have ones that we’re working through, but for anyone who’s had any experience with these (which is growing), you know how impactful it is:
Psychedelics as medicine (the studies support MDMA, Ketamine, and others, but I believe only the teacher plants are truly safe)
Epigenetics: Older biology assumed that DNA alone determined inheritance.
Epigenetics shows that the environment and experiences can alter gene expression, and some of those changes may be passed to offspring.
Studies suggest trauma exposure may leave epigenetic signatures across generations. Which means you can both take something and leave something. The body keeps the score!
Quantum Biology: Quantum effects were once assumed to be too fragile to occur in living organisms. Evidence now suggests that quantum processes may be involved in photosynthetic efficiency, bird navigation using Earth’s magnetic field, or enzyme reactions.
Moons with previous life.
The value of fasting for longevity and cellular regeneration.
Energy Healing: Your body is fundamentally electrical. Cells communicate using voltage gradients and ion flows.
Consciousness theories coming into full focus.
I just bring these up to be reminded of how incredible the world is.
Are we not in the most epic timeline?!
It could be more epic. We could be in space flying around already, and in total peace and harmony here on earth.
But take a moment to truly admire the world and us. We’re incredible. Humans are incredible. And you don’t have to be working on these things in a lab to appreciate them. Because scientific and cultural knowledge like this belongs to everyone.
It’s why science, at its best, is a public good.
And it’s a gift to the world. This kind of intelligence and grit. This kind of research and continued exploration both internally and out.
I mean WOW. Truly take that in.
AI towards more
And today, we’re only going to get smarter at a RAPID rate.
With the invention of AI, you’ve just given scientists and research teams a 10-fold expansion. I mean, you couldn’t hire for that kind of team expansion. But you can do it with a few computers. And that’s incredible.
I mean, the kind of research and innovation you can do with something that processes data as fast as AI is insane. It’s exciting beyond imagination, because we might have the answers for the things we’re trying to solve, understand, and make sense of before we even know it.
That’s fucking awesome. Like a kid in a candy shop AWESOME.
And that’s not to say AI doesn’t have serious concerns, right? We know that. We know consumer AI, the stuff me and you are using, is a mess. It’s money-hungry and unethical, lacks protections, and has real impacts on a culture using it en masse.
It’s why all these major innovations went to research and science first, because that’s where you actually need this stuff. That’s where analyzing the data on CERN’s Large Hadron Collider is where AI goes first, and it is incredible and useful.
And then Florida Man and I get a hold of it, and we’re like, oh, cool, let’s put boobs on Joe Biden.
My only solution?
Be smarter than Florida Man. Set your own guidelines, be aware of the impact the technology is having on you, and hold your life with an AI to a standard that is right FOR YOU.
They’re not going to do it for us. They’re likely always to let Florida Man put boobs on Joe Biden, and they’ll love it.
But don’t be fooled that there isn’t incredible good in this technology, as much as there might be bad.
Because I know I will laugh at a pair of tits on Joe, and you can’t stop me.
Love,
Val
